DESCRIPTION

As a Business Analyst with Audible, you will work daily with our product and marketing teams to gather and analyze data, create reports, support deep dives and support data driven decision making.You will manage projects, define concepts, run analysis and interpret results.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
· Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s & Audible data resources and know how, when, and which to use
· Drive the implementation of new product initiatives activities cross-functionally by working collaboratively with the Marketing, Product, Technology and Data warehousing teams
· Identify and define metrics for teams to assess their performance and drive improvements
· Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
· Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics, and work across the organization to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders
· Analyze and review large quantitative data sets and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvements
· Deliver real, actionable insights on opportunities and work with business to drive recommendations for improving the business
· Work with business users to drive and analyze business campaigns such as emails, a/b tests, cohort based tests, etc
· Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, product road map, and business drivers to inform decision making
· Understand and write high quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Business
· 3+ years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, or another related occupation
· High-level proficiency with SQL based query languages and relational data concepts and Microsoft Excel
· Experience in supporting new product launches, including capturing, implementing and validating data requirements
· Proven experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement, and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives
· Demonstrated ability to dig into the “why” of various results and present data driven insights and recommendations
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
· Strong problem solving skills along with the ability to pay attention to details
· Ability to multi-task and work under firm deadlines within a rapidly changing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with data visualization and statistical testing tools (e.g. Tableau, R, SPSS)
· SQL certification, experience with Redshift, or experience with a relevant programming language (e.g. Python, VB)
· Self-starter, capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
· Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
